Alex Justin Livin'

It has been a while since we posted any new pictures, but things have been crazy! We had to make an unexpected road trip to South Bend to go to my Great-grandmothers funeral. Traveling with a 3 week old baby is so much fun! It wasn't bad at all, however what normally takes 14 hours from Savannah to South Bend took us 22 hours split between 2 days! We stopped in Indy and stayed with my cousin. Alex is doing well though. He is growing like a weed! He will be 5 weeks old tomorrow! I can't believe how time flies! He is such a blessing and I love him more and more everyday! We are going on our annual family vacation to Myrtle Beach next Saturday! I can't wait to go to the beach!

Like father Like son!

Mommy and Alex

All cuddled up!

My sock puppet!

We have been taking pictures of the little guy non-stop. There is just not enough time to get them on the blog daily! Sleeping seems to be the most important thing these days. When Alex is sleeping, mommy trys to relax herself! We are starting to get the hang of things. It will come in time!

Hello World!

Mommy, Alex, & Daddy

Hello All! Our little bundle of joy has finally arrived! He entered the world on May 15,2008 @ 6:38pm! He was a healthy 8lbs 6oz. He delivered via c-section becasuse he was being stubborn and wouldn't progress down the birth canal! Mommy and baby are doing very well. We had a little scare however. We came home from the hospital on Saturday afternoon and we had Alex's first doctor's appointment on Monday and he had lost 1lb 6oz from his discharge weight. He had to have some labs drawn and was then admitted overnight to get some intravenous fluids. I had to start pumping and we began supplementing him with formula. What a difference a full tummy made for the little guy. He was more awake and sleeping better. We got to come home on Tuesday night and went back for our check up yesterday and he gained 7oz overnight and is doing much better! I am still trying to pump and give him my milk, but we are just waiting for it to come in better. He is a little miracle and I just can't believe he is here and he is a part of me! He does look like Gary though. I call him mini-Gary! Gary is a great daddy. He has been taking turns with me feeding Alex the bottle and chaning his diapers, even the pooie ones!

Sidney--the LION kitty!!!

Here is our pretty " LION" kitty! Since I am unable to groom Sidney myself, we had the vet shave her while she was in for an exam and some shots!!

Sidney is a Liger, pretty much Gary's favorite animal!

The Room--almost finished!

We ordered some letters for the wall to spell out his name! They turned out great! They were a bright green when they arrived so we had to tone it down a little and the paint we picked matches perfect with the rest of the green! This is the artwork that we found. It is Doodlefish. They are hand painted. We went for a sea creature theme---turtle, starfish, sea horse, & a crab! They have really finished the room off. Now all we are waiting for is our rocking-recliner-swivel chair to come in, hopefully before Alex is born!
